What happens when I come in on the first day?

You will fill out a standard history form, and show your insurance card, if you wish to use insurance.
You will meet with the doctor, and we do run on time.  You will have as much time as you need to talk to the doctor.  Then the doctor will touch and examine the area of pain.  He will put you through different motions and positions to determine what is wrong.  You may then have x-rays and lab work here, if you need them.  Treatment can begin on the first day, if the doctor orders it; we will focus on relieving pain and making you more comfortable.

How long will I be there on the first day?

You will spend about one hour with the doctor and about 30 minutes in treatment.

Can I keep my own doctor when I join your practice?

Yes.  We will work with your doctor.  Bring the script for the physical therapist from your doctor.  We would be happy to keep him informed by fax or phone throughout your treatment.

What is a chiropractic adjustment?  Does it hurt?

A chiropractor uses his hands to gently move joints in the direction and range that they are supposed to go.  It can be done fast or slowly.  It does not hurt.  Generally it feels really good!  The adjustment or manipulation, relieves pain, frees up “pinched nerves”, and restores motion and function.

How much does the first visit cost?
